Today, the beginning to my week off work for thanksgiving holiday. Seems almost too good to be true. Sleep in and stay up late. This should be a great time.
Until, I had to get my son from school early due to hitting and kicking classmates and one teacher. Then, Chloe had an hour long very mild seizure going through "Target". Chloe has been doing so well with taking her medicine and everything seemed to be so great. The seizure just stopped less than 5 minutes before I posted this blog.
Being home is another job I haven't had to do by myself for a couple months. Its going to take a little but to get used to swing of things and get everyone where they need to be.
Trying my best to take care of my little ones the best i can......

The Journey Begins
Chloe "Rose" Bronson
The first day of this adventure started on January 12, 2011. This wonderful day is my little girl's birthday. When she was born the first person that saw her and get to hold her was me. The moment I started holding her, she fought so hard to see past the bright light and looked me right in the eyes. No smile or expression but you could tell she was trying to figure everything out and I promised her that day that "Daddy would be there every step of the way to help her learn as much as possible".
Its been a long journey since that day and i can only give a general summary of what happened in between.
The first few months are mainly a blur, due to the lack of sleep. But the joy of fatherhood surpasses all the bad things that could ever happen. Which brings me to her first shots that she needed. It was exactly four months after her birth and she received a set of shots called DHP. It is a three in one shot containing the vaccines Dtap, Hib and Polio. Around eight hours after her shots, she developed a small fever and then the unexpected happened. The day after her four month from her birthday, she had her first seizure. Over the course of four months old to six months old she had about 12 seizures. Chloe received more shots when she was six months old and like clockwork, she had a seizure eight hours later. Then the seizures disappeared until she was a little after nine months old.
Though all these seizures are scary for both of us they have not seemed to slow her development at all. She started walking unassisted for ten or more steps a little before 10 months old ad now she almost runs now. During these adventures, poor Chloe has been poked and tested for almost everything but there is no clear diagnosis of why the seizures are happening or how to slow or stop seizures after they've began.
By all means she is still my perfect little angel and my love is unconditional but its just hard to feel so helpless for so long. My girlfriend and I have been everywhere and we are almost members of Children's Hospital in DC and their neurology department. Which is very good and helpful.
I guess in a way this will be my way of reaching out to see if anyone has any similar situations or any suggestions to try. Feel free to email me and let others know about my site.....
My little princess is growing up too fast, I cant keep up
She looks like she is looking for her prince charming already.... Kissing Frogs
